Partnering for Progress is a Spokane-based nonprofit dedicated to improving lives in rural Kenya by working alongside local leaders to develop sustainable, community-led solutions. Since 2008, P4P has partnered with villages in the Kopanga region to expand access to healthcare, education, and clean water - essentials that help break the cycle of poverty. Rather than offering short-term aid, P4P invests in projects that empower individuals and build local capacity for long-term success. 

Access to clean water remains one of the greatest challenges in Kopanga. The burden of water collection falls heavily on women and children, often requiring them to walk long distances to contaminated springs or shallow, hand-dug wells. These unsafe sources jeopardize health and limit educational and economic opportunities. With support from P4P, local communities are leading efforts to build water tanks, drill boreholes, and install handwashing stations - bringing safe, reliable water closer to home. By addressing this basic need together, these projects improve health, save time, and create new opportunities for families and communities to thrive.
